It's a great place to meet people and make friends, candice. Often it's a good place to get unbiased opinions.
But it's difficult to find a good close relationship in cyber. The senses (body language, hearing the way something is said, touching) are just too important an element to leave out when looking for someone to share your life with.

I met a guy on Yahoo Chat. We chatted for hours for several days in a row, later exchanged phone numbers, talked on the phone every day for hours for months, then we finally met, fell in love in person and have been together for the past year and a half. It's nice because i say we got to know each other from the inside out.. neither of us had pics on our profiles so we were attracted to the inside first, the physical attraction came last which was a nice change. It's rare to have such a relationship that started in a chat room but im proof that it can happen.

I dont' believe so because most people in the chat rooms put on a persona of who they would like to be, yet they are a truly different person in real life. Most are too shy or self conscience in real life to act the same way they do in a chat room.

No I would have to say that the chat rooms lately are really crude and vulgar and people are on there just to swear and talk about sexual items instead of having a fun and interesting time getting to know one another

It is difficult to find a decent chat room where people want to chat and not just have cyber sex. I would be very careful if I were you. Maybe try one that is "policed" to help keep out unwanted talk and sexual references. Good Luck anyway.

I think so...but I also think that it depends on what you mean by meet. I've made some great ONLINE friends from one and have actually ministered to others in a chatroom...but I'm not sure if I would find my future spouse in one.

No because EVERYONG lies. Either to be on the safe side, or are just in the act of being desperate. It's better to meet the person your destined to be with in person. It's much more safe. :D

yeah i met a few of my bestest friends in chat rooms but you have to play it safe because not everyones honest.
