True, they are paid more than servicemembers - but most segments of society are. They are not paid by the US government, but those that contract them. And the are subject to IRAQI law whereas the US servicemembers are covered under what is called a Status Of Forces Agreement (SOFA). This SOFA stipulates that Americans accused of wrong-doing will be tried in our own military judicial system. Contract security has no such guarantees. If they are accused of wrong-doing, it is into and Iraqi jail they go and await their Iraqi trial.

Maybe they do not know or perhaps for all the reasons outlined in this video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3519855663545752103
Mercenaries, by the way, are and have been a key ingredient in the staging of so called terrorist acts around the world. Using this to fool and frighten the general public into submission to government control. Here's another if you have the patience and time: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-341031042963487862&q=Kay+Griggs

Well that isn't quite true.... I have a few friends over there that work for Blackwater USA.... they have alot of folks to answer to. What source did you get that from if I may ask??
And yes, they do get paid better outright.... but what benefits package can they retire with?? Was that stated too??

They aren't paid by US goverment, they're paid by companies such as Bechtel who have engineering projects to get done. If guys who are discharged want to try their hand as security contractors they are welcome to it. Iraq is a sovereign state and the security contractors are answerable to its laws.
