omega 3 is a fatty acid, present in fish oil. It protects from cardica diseases, and decreases the chances of formation of atherosclerosis in blood vessels, though there are no evidences that shows that it helps in losing weight.

ONLY IN DAILY DOSES OF 3000 UNITS, BUT SEE YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU START TAKING THAT MUCH EVERY DAY... I TAKE 1000 UNITS EVERY DAY AND IT HELPS SOME...
