Texas, Washington State, and rural areas. Check out teach for America, they may be able to give you statistics on much needed teachers in certain areas around the U.S. and the higher pay grades. Typically, the "richer" the county, they more money that's allocated for teachers. . .check it out

I believe the best place to live as teacher would either be Greensboro NC or Clinton Maryland.

not texas but like pittsburgh mostly up north they have a great union and awesome benifits
