I had my first baby at 38 yrs old.
You should be able to have another child. I have friends older that have had healthy pregnancies and babies.
What did your doctor say? A doctor will tell you if your body is done with having babies. There could have been countless other reasons for the miscarriage.
Hang in there!

Everyone is so different. I had 2 miscarriages before the birth of my son, and one in between my son and daughter. There are a variety of reasons for miscarriage. Has your doctor given you any indication why you miscarried? It could just be a one time thing, especially since you already have one child. Your age could be a factor, but your doctor is where you should start. If he/she can't give you a definitive answer, then get a 2nd opinion. There are far too many fertility specialists to be content with a regular doc or obstetrician who can't give you answers.

First of all I am sorry for your loss
There are a lot of things not in your question. Do you know why you miscarried? How far along were you? Medically I assume there are no issues.
I do not think you are too old to have another child. Especially with today's medical advances.
My concern for you is have you had time to grieve before getting pregnant again? Make sure you are in the right state of mind before trying again.
Good Luck

You didn't have a miscarriage b/c of your age, but b/c there was something wrong w/ the baby. There a lot of people having baby well after 35. You would be considered high risk most of the time, but that shouldn't' stop you having another child.

i became 38 while our youngest baby became born. different than arising gestational diabetes I had no problems. There are some concerns to evaluate once you're pregnant closer to 40, yet age on my own shouldn't avert you from delivering a healthful toddler. i might recommend in user-friendly terms attempting to conceive back if your husband is the two meaning to have yet another baby. a lot of human beings have suggested to me that having a baby later in existence keeps you youthful. of course those human beings did not have a baby later in existence as there is not any denying that i've got not got as lots power as I did while my older 3 have been youthful (my childrens are 27, 24, 21, and eight). If the hot toddler's father should not be interior the photograph, that's recommended to evaluate how lots time and power you ought to opt to elevating a toddler on my own as properly as assembly the desires of your 6 12 months old. I say do not enable age end you in case you and your husband might like yet another baby.

I had my son weeks before turning 35 and am now 37 and trying to get pregnant again. As long as you are healthy, there is no reason you can't carry to term.
As I understand it, 2nd preganancy miscarriages are not uncommon. It may not be you. Go to the Dr and get an exam, they can best advise you.
My condolences.

i thin you should try as soon as possible as your fertility could be beginning to seriously decline. there are many support sites for pregnancy after miscarriage, and much research is being done to help mothers who have frequent miscarriages. in the U.K. there is specific treatments being developed.
my mother was 44 when she had me, but it is a "fluke" of genetics as her mother had her last child (#11) in 1929 at the age of 47. few women are this fertile. i've had 8 pregnancies myself, 2 successful births being after the miscarriages i had, for a total of 4 lovely children in all.
you'll be able to get a wonderfullly normal child. definitely get amniocentesis done to check for chromasonal abnormalities.
there's nothing like having a child of your own, one who shares your genes and whom you birthed. they are part of you and there is a spiritual bond there that lasts any type of separation.
