I have to agree with the answer of Sappho. I'm sure she wasn't the first lesbian, and I'm fairly certain she was bisexual, but she is the earliest woman I can think of being recorded. She was a Greek poet and played the lyre. She wrote about the beauty of women.

I think it was a woman named Sappho. she was a poet that spent most of her time on an island called Lesbos. might wanna google her, I could be wrong...it's been so long since I've read up on Greek literature.
