As far as I am aware, the miles will be transferred to his heir ie the remainder of the estate goes to my ?????? heir. You must file a claim for the miles and a statement from the attorney and/or a copy of the will documenting that the person requesting the transfer is the heir. You will have to check with AA for complete details.

Most likely not. Frequent Flier miles are frequently non-transferrable.
