If people stopped arguing and finger pointing, religion may seem to make more sense.

Religion will never be a trend or a cool thing to do.
Its something deeper than that.
However, you can always make church interesting, or have activities that attract members. however, most of the time those things go away from following God, and that would not be something sincere.

Religion is not something to be "cool" worship is a sacred thing, it has been commercialized, and degraded by the catholic church, brought to violent extremes by the mosques and temples, and over all is now nothing more than a social sect, a club for like minded people. people who are scared of life, scared of their own mortality.
people are sheep, and religion is the sheepdog, shepherded into submission, into a blind following by the people who claim salvation.

Religion isnt a lifestyle or trend to be cool, its a way of life that makes you who you are, you would have to understand it inside out for it to be cool.

They keep trying.
I have seen WWF type shows with muscular guys screaming..
"Why ARE WE HERE??!!!....to BATTLE SATAN!!"
Then they rip phone books in half.
Then there are Christian metal bands...heard of one called "Blood of the LAMB":):):):)
They keep trying and trying and all they do is make religion look cheaper and cheaper and more like SHOW BIZ.
Maybe they should back down on trying to make religion cool.
Cause they only making it look cheap and ridiculous and contrived and pandering.
Ever see theSouth Park episode when the fat kid forms his Christian band?
He does it to make money.
When writing his Christian songs he describes the method as ...
take a song ...and where ever it says honey or dear or baby...replace it with Jesus.
They hit the nail on the head.
And by the way...I am AGNOSTIC.....just giving observation and my sense of things.

Religion doesn't have the capacity to be cool...but then again, I find God to be the ultimate in Coolness!

im not trying to sound mean... but i think the harder you try, the worse it will get. but if it helps, i found religion cool after joining a youth group at my church, they pretty much let us do what we want but we had to sit down for like 10 minutes while someone taught us about god. i think that was kinda cool.

Religion becomes "cool" when you live life the way christ wants you to. Once you've done that, you can partake of "cool" blessings.

You don't try to make it "cool". If God is really perfect, then we don't need to make him look better, we just need to represent him correctly. Maybe we just let people read the bible, and let God speak for himself, just as long as you don't force King James Version down people's throats.
