It has nothing to do with the abortion.. I have been on the depo before I did the same thing.. I hated it.. they say you could bleed for a couple months then after it stops you won't hardly have a period again.. I just couldn't get thru the first couple months your alright.. it's just the birth control.. I love it when men answer these questions.. like they know..

After an abortion the body has to readjust from the pregnancy hormones, coupled with the hormones in the Depo bleeding for an extended period is normal. Your doctor should have explained this better.

A lot of people have this reaction to Depo. They should have actually explained that was a risk. If you can't handle it or simply don't want to, look into another type of birth control. It is always safer to consult your doctor, but I don't think anything is wrong. If you do some research, you should be able to see that this does happen often with Depo.

I would have to say it was a cross between the trauma you caesed your woman parts from the abortion and the depo shot which takes a while to control your cycle. Use a condom from now on until the BC regulates.

That's really common with depo. It could happen again for the next two shots but after that your period stops until you stop taking the depo.

certain birth controls are not meant for every one. everybody's bodies react differetnly to differetn birth controls and over time the birth control uve been using forever may start to loose its affect and u have to switch to a stronger type.

Bleeding probably is normal-and not from the shot.
I am not judging you,I am praying for healing for you-of body, mind and spirit.
