I work for a bank, on the new accts/loans side, and I see this one customer come in like once a week or ever other week. She is incredably cute, she'll smile and wave at me, and I do the same. I'd like to ask her out for a drink, but if she's already in a relationship or she just doesn't want to, I don't want her to feel uncomfortable anytime she comes in here. I've never asked anyone of our customers out while working mainly for that reason. How should I handle this?

Hmm. . . Been in the situation, even yes the fact that Im a chick! How often has she been coming in? For over 4wks? Not that there is a base but its better to have longevity on your side. It mainly depends on YOUR personality and attitude when confronting her. Either you engage in alittle more talk and feed off of that or you let it go and accept it for what it is. Just a mere Hello. The ball is in YOUR court balla!

Dude I can tell you because I used to work for a bank. Don't ask them out especially while you are at work. Big no no. You might have a chance if you see them outside of work somewhere around town, but you got to be careful then. Usually if the bank finds out you are hitting on customers you are fired right away. Now if you see her bank account is very very large and no one else is on her account with her, then quit your job and go hang out infront of the bank until she comes in and ask her out then. Just kidding don't be a stalker just ask her if she can give you her phone number and she will know what it is for. If it is not ok then you won't get it and she then can use the drive thru from now on.

Be careful with this one... as a Human Resources professional, I would suggest that you not make any attempts to cross the "merchant/customer" boundary. Not only could you put yourself at risk of losing your job (if she filed a complaint) you could also potentially put the bank in liability.

Continue to be pleasant and friendly... if she's interested, she'll let you know! Good luck!

Just go for it. If things don't work out, that's ok. And if she feels uncomfortable, then she'll find a new bank. That's the worst thing that can happen, so go for it.

first you should get to know each other better.like when she comes in the bank tell her your name and find something you have in common with her.talk some more and see how shes acting towards you.if she nice and friendly then say"if you dont mind me asking, are you single"?then if she says no ask her if she wanted to go out for a drink and if she says yes then say oh okay it was nice meeting you.

Gosh, my bank is right next door to a great meeting place for young people.
I would simply ask her if she'd like to meet 'next door' (or wherever in your case) after work for a drink. Make it clear that you do NOT wish to offend her if she's unable to. If she's interested she should offer an alternative day.
Good Luck!
