People on here ask some questions that just don't make any sense. Do they still teach spelling and grammar in school these days??

One would most definitely think not, and perhaps it's due to the public schools ramming communistic agendas down the throats of gullible youngsters rather than properly educating them:(

I agree with the statement that not everyone on this website is fluent in English. But there's the people who use the shortcut words from the world of IM such as plz, u, etc. you get the idea. That stuff is more annoying to me than someone who is struggling with the language.

i was actually just reading a question from someone with, arguably, the worst spelling and grammar i've ever seen. yeah, i'm starting to think those subjects have gone out of public schools

Nope those things went out the door!
Unfortunately it is not just children. It is full grown adults that should know better as well.
And finally to give some the benefit of doubt we have to be patient and remember that not everyone on here speaks fluent English.

Granted, however, it isn't as hard to believe that some need help with answers...when, they obviously struggle with the basic starting point...language.
On, the other hand.....
RIGHT! Me and a few friends that crawl through here reading questions, all agree that half the joy IS the grammer and speling!

I agree. If people want to be taken seriously, they should watch their spelling amd grammar, as well as their language and content.

they do, but most of the time the kids fall asleep, or just to look innocent, stare into space
