First, it depends on your age... Don't go there unless you totally understand the consequences; pregnancy and/or STDs.
Second, make sure he has shown you commitment. Don't give it out for free just because he has some nice lines or he's cute. Make him prove he truly deserves it. Sex is a gift between two people that truly have feelings for each other...
I'd personally make him wait long enough to see if he'll dump you just because you haven't given it up. If he truly loves you, then he will be willing to wait as long as it takes, because he would be in love with who you are, not what you look like...
Think it over before you do it...

You should take your age into consideration...so if you're like 13 asking this question...when your 40. But if your NOT 13 or in that range...when you feel it's right (hopefully you don't have this feeling with every guy you meet...lol)...but there isn't really a specific time if you are of age, it's about how you feel about the person you are considering being intimate with...But I'll tell you when it's NOT ok to have sex...when you have that hesitant feeling at the pit of your stomach that maybe your not ready...or maybe you should wait...alot of women ignore this because of the guys persuasiveness or pressure... and usually that ends with someone getting hurt. Be honest with yourself and listen to your gut...that will get you a great experience most of the time.
I know that sounds a little discouraging...most of the time...but if your gonna be asking for sex advice, and I'm gonna give it...I might as well be honest. But most importantly, be careful and protect yourself...should you make the decision to be intimate.

I am dating this guy, we are really in love, have been dating for 7 months now. He take me everywhere; I mean concerts, to the beach, New York, ect and when we stay at a hotel we can go without sex. I brought it up to him and he has been trying to make things better perhaps sex once a week or so because he is a workaholic. He works like crazy but always always tries to see me on his days off. We dont live together, he lives with his sister and her kids.
My concern at this point is, is it okay to date someone and only have sex like once a week? I have been used to having it alot in the past. I'm scared that its gonna get worst over time. Please help me.

1246 day 327hrs and 999min, of dating...... :)
that is a very personal question age, maturity, past relationships and personal connection are all factors.
age: if your in your teens sex is new and a big deal, in your 20's you get more experience, and 30's you know what you want and you do it or you will not
you see depending on your personal knowledge and the experience of others is a big deal when you think you are ready.
tips : when it feels right, you know the person, remember at the beginning of a relationship when everything is new and everything smells like roses that is not the real person you are dating.

when you know way deep deep in your heart your in LOVE not lust, and you know deep deep in your heart that your man L ove you back so much that there may be marrage down the road. your men can get laid any time, there are many women that will give in, to be specail for your man to treat you specail, is to wait till marrage or till you know after you get togater he is not going to leave you and tell everyone your just like all the other girls, there is a difference between makeing love and haveing sex! how do you want it to be? use your mind, and if your man really loves you he will wait until you are ready, if he don't then after the first time he would leave you anyways.

Honestly, I think girls don't wait long enough these days. Make the guy really want you, once you give it up, it's not a challenge anymore.
My opinion, IF your out of High school, at least 6 months.
If your in school NO SEX PERIOD

When he marries her. Premarital sex generally tends to cloud issues and it is a pleasant experience, but in reality, it inhibits the growth of the relationship. A guy is more apt to marry you if you wait to have sex than if you give it up without a wedding.

There is no set time but when the time is right you will both know it. Just remember practice safe sex or you may have some unexpected things to deal with.
