I've just been diagnosed with co-dependency. I'm in shock. Not by the diagnosis but the fact I've been diagnosed with it. Currently, I'm educating myself on the subject matter. I just wanted to find out if there are any out there and how they learned about their condition and what they did to treat it. It's kinda frightening what the worst case scenarios are but because I have two small kids, I want to get better for me so that I can take care of them better so they won't suffer.

You have to learn that you don't have to have someone with you ( as in relationship) all of the time, that it is alright to be alone. Its a hard thing to deal with , being co-depend ant, but you can overcome it.Just when going into relationships, don't just jump into them because being co dependent you can really get stuck in some crappy relationships..I have.If you are a praying person, pray about it, get counseling, talk to friend,s you are not alone!
I wish you the best of luck!
