In response to some questions asked, he disappeared after a medical discharge from the Navy (he was diagnosed with an axiety disorder and was unable to correctly learn his job). They dropped him off in Chicago and we haven't heard from him since, except for one or two letters we rec'd from him three years ago. There was no return address but it was postmarked in Seattle. We know he isn't dead because we've searched death certificates. Thanks all!

This would be easier to answer if you had given his age and the circumstances of his disappearance.

You should search the internet and also check his high school class out on the internet.

If he has not been in contact with any family members, you must consider some uncomfortable possibilities. He might not want to be found. He might be dead.

You can write him a letter and mail it to the Social Security Administration. Write the SSA a letter explaining that he is your brother and you need to contact him. You must give them his full name, last known address, his date of birth and social security number if possible. They can contact him and forward your letter to him. Then if he wants to be found, he will contact you.

Good luck.
