Honey, this is your wedding. Don't do anything that will make your memories not so good about your wedding day. You do need 2 witnesses, though. Your maid-of-honor is just there to basically help with anything that you need. She's the one that carries the wedding band, although you can do that. She is the one that stays the night with you and helps calm your nerves. She helps you get ready for the big day. But if you have a close relationship with your mom, she can do the same thing. It's YOUR wedding, do what YOU want. Decide what you want, and everything else will fall into place.

The whole point of having bridesmaids and groomsmen are to provide legal witnesses for the marriage. Since you only need two witnesses, you can probably just stick with a best man and a maid of honor. Or you can contact your county courthouse to find out the legal issues. As for wedding aesthetics, you can do whatever you please. Just remember the men and women closest to you who want to help you celebrate your wedding and your future marriage. Congratulations.

You have to have someone to witness the wedding, that is usually what the maid of honor and best man do...for our wedding, we just had a MOF and BM - we had 1 junior bridesmaid and a flower girl. We wanted it small and it worked out great.

You can do whatever you want!
But the purpose of having a Maid of Honor and Best man is to have someone Stand up for you and your new hubby. I do belive it is called witnesses

of course not, this is YOUR wedding and your grooms. nobody else's. the number of maids and groomsmen is usually based on the number of guests you have attending the wedding, but again, this is your special day you do it the way you want it done.

It depends on who is paying for the wedding. They might have a say so. But me personally, it is your wedding and hopefully the only time you do it, do it the way YOU want to. (NO REGRETS!!)

You could be by ourself, butwhat fun is that. Aren't there 2 people that you would want to spend your important day with? You need two people to witness it anyway so find 2 that are close to you.

Girl yes. It's your day. That will make it less stressful anyway. If you ask me, the reception is the fun part. The ceremony should be all about you and your groom.
