there is a small percentage of us do believe in it, but our employers , supervisors, managers, and people you work with don't have it. It is the same with bill collectors, politic an, government, must people in general the people who run their own business. Especially when ask for honesty, respect . and work hard for your money or get in trouble for doing your job. And you get laugh at when you show those qualities. our sense of believes that were past down to us in the past. Thru family or other means has been thrown out the door. People now a days is only in for number1, they care about nobody else, and they don't care who they hurt on the way to get what they want.
What happen the days when a man open the doors for the ladies. That was respect for the ladies, you don't see that today, There hardly any gentlemen left around. How about the days people had respect for the Authorities, Police, Security, Firemen, any body else in the service areas. This country gone down hill.
Lets take Japan and China for example were honor, dignity, respect, pride still exist.

It still exists in a good number of us, Americans or citizens of the world. You will never know about it though because it doesn't sell advertising on the TV or in the newspaper (like anyone reads THOSE anymore).
Our collective appetite for all things outrageous, morbid or bizarre has left us with the glut of Jerry-Springer-like tv shows and tabloid journalism in the mainstream media.
I say, look inward for the true answer. If you have honor, dignity and personal pride, you owe it to those around you to share it and engender it in others.

Pride is a sin. Honor and Dignity was lost in the wrath of politics.

Damn it, I knew I left something in my other pants.
But seriously, honor, dignity, and personal pride are all individual qualities. I'm not sure a group can collectively have personal pride, for example. These are qualities you must define and retain for yourself and let others do as they may.

We sold them for the almighty dollar when the American Dream became more about the ability to buy than the ability to be free.

A lot of us still have it...there are just those out there that don't care anymore. It's sad but true.
