I don't think anything cats do are not normal, all cats have their own individual personality. I find them so fascinating.
I have two cats and both are so different, bob and lizzy.
Bob preferes tinned food to dry food, where as lizzy will eat both.
Bob will catch and play with birds and mice then when they die he walks away and leaves them as for lizzy she will catch and eat straight away.
Bob will eat ham, cheese, butter, milk, chicken, tuna & pasta, hates water and will only drink it from a glass.
Lizzy eats most meats no cheese loves prawns but is the same as bob with the water with a slight difference as she will not drink it out of a cat bowl but will drink it from a glass, tap and I have even caught her in the toilet.
When it comes to putting their dinner down to them they will both sit, then bob will give me a paw and meow and lizzy will meow.
See they are very interesting and lovable fur balls that are part of the family.

Cats are lactose intolerant, and the yogurt may cause some really bad accidents or litter boxes. Cats love milk, don't know why they just do, and anything to do with milk, ie yogurt. Watch out for any upset bellies

Its the dairy part that he's addicted to. Yoghurt is not advisable for a cat to eat, it can affect their gut and generally they have no tolerance to it. Try giving your cat another treat, specially formulated cat milk.
I'm a vet, and it's a general misconception that cats should have milk, cream and in your case yoghurt. Trust me, they have problems digesting it and it can cause long term health problems for the cat.

All cats LOVE yogurt and things like that. It's completely normal, you just don't want to give him too much (only a couple of licks) or else he will get sick. Cats are lactose intolerant.

Both cats and dogs love yogurt, as do many other animals, the dairy content is probably what attracts them, probably not as keen on some fruit ones though.

Cats love the scent of most dairy products. Milk, cream, ice cream, yoghurt. They don,t smell the added flavouring as much as the natural dairy scent. Therefore the flavour doesn't matter to them.

It is not abnormal - yogurt is very healthy for many animals. As long as it is not completely packed with sugar and additives, yogurts often help maintain healthy stomach balance in many animals. Rodents especially, but I think it would be great for cats, too! :D
