yes, they can because of the oxygen load increased by the bacteria, the body has revved up its immune system (the the increase in some of the metabolic processes in the body) and the weakening of the body as a result of the overwhelimg sepsis. It gets more wordy and complicated, but this a real generalization.

Sepsis can lead to low blood pressure which can lead to lower saturation. At least that's what I've gathered from watching lots of medical shows. ^_^

Yes. Your blood has a toxin in it so it has less room for oxygen.
