Probably not, coffee is a stimulant, it makes your heart beat faster which burns more calories. If you use sugar in your coffee go to a healthfood store and buy stevia instead. That might assist in losing weight.

Well if you stop drinking coffee are you going to be drinking anything in it place? And another question what do you drink in your coffee? Because a glass of coffee no cream or sugar is really on 5 calories. The way you gain weight with drinking coffee is all the cream and sugar you add.
Your body does not recognize the calories in beverages, like it does to your food. So you can drink your days recommended calories intake with one Slurpee, and your body is still going to need the food so your just adding on the calories, and the extra calories your body will store as fat.
So if you stop adding that extra stuff to your coffee or stop drinking coffee all together. Your just not putting those extra calories that you body does not need into your system. So if you eating right and the coffee is putting your calories for the day over, then yes if you stop drinking coffee you will loss come weight.

No way. Caffeine actually increases your metabolism, albeit only for a short while after you drink it. Unless you're loading up your coffee with sugar and cream, then drinking it won't cause you to gain any weight. And stopping drinking coffee will only have the reverse effect, on your weight.

A few studies indicate that large amounts of caffeine — the equivalent of six cups of coffee a day — may slightly enhance weight loss in people who exercise and maintain a low-fat diet. But no studies indicate that weight loss from large amounts of caffeine is significant or permanent. There's also no evidence that increasing caffeine intake alone has any effect on weight loss.
Is caffeine an appetite suppressant? Yes, but this effect lasts only a very brief period — not long enough to lead to significant weight loss. Does caffeine increase your body's ability to burn calories? Maybe, but again, probably not enough to result in significant weight loss.
Caffeine does act as a diuretic, which means it causes an increase in the amount of urine you excrete. This water loss may decrease your body weight. But it doesn't decrease body fat. Also, keep in mind that caffeine is a stimulant that can increase your heart rate and blood pressure, interrupt your sleep, and cause nervousness and irritability. Also, many caffeinated beverages are high in calories, which can contribute to unwanted weight gain.

Not necessarily. In fact, if you drink it black, you'll actually be a little bit more likely to lose weight.
Some research also suggests that moderate consumption of black coffee reduces the risk of certain types of cancer.

Black espresso has almost no energy per mug. in case you upload sugar, that is about 15 energy per teaspoon, and cream can ratchet up the energy appreciably. besides the undeniable fact that, extra importantly, is that espresso is a diuretic meaning it makes you want to pee extra in many circumstances and dehydrates your body. we're not consistently conscious when we are dehydrated - we would imagine we are hungry - so in case you substituted water particularly of espresso, you'll hydrate your body, ward off starvation cravings with the aid of dehydration, and a hydrated body methods nutrients / ability a lot extra effectively. ordinary, that is better on your weight and health - and study have shown that staying hydrated is as strong as caffeine for offering you with ability and assisting you to stay unsleeping. This is just one of those fads, it won't in itself make you lose weight. but there will be side effects, for example how will your body cope with the reduced caffeine levels? It could even result in you eating more chocolate!!!!
