The quickest way is to cut out red meats, starches, breads, sugars, alcohal, and sodas.

Eat veggies (salads are good), soups, and drink TONS of water. If you get hungry between a meal, drink water to fill up.

In moderation eat white meats, and fruits (fruits contain natural sugars, and that can put on weight)

Practice portion control. Yes, you'll feel hungry at first, but think of your goal, and soon your stomach will start shrinking and you won't have that feeling anymore.

Eat 5 times a day. A small breakfast. A mid-morning snack, such as an apple. A small lunch. A mid-afternoon snack, such as carrots. A lite dinner. Do not eat any later than 7pm (6pm is better.)

Go exercise for at least an hour a day, incorporating weight training. Weight training builds muscle. Muscle burns fat. You get the idea. It also gives tone and definition.

Good luck!!

It's not easy, but a combination of exercise and diet is the key.

Besides all the classic ab exercises, I'd suggest doing cardio exercise first thing in the morning (the best fat-burning time of day for your body) at least 45 minutes.

If you can run, do that.... do the most vigorous cardio exercise you can. You don't have to do it at your most vigorous level every day -- you can do "high vigor" and "low vigor" (example, walking instead of running) on alternate mornings.

Don't eat food that will make you fat, or that will trigger your body to kick into fat-storing mode. This includes foods that are high in trans or saturated fat, as well as foods high in sugar.

Read the food labels. They not only tell you how many calories are in a serving, but also how many of those calories are "fat calories."

The fat calories should not be more than 25% of the total calories. If it's higher than that, don't buy it.

There are so many little things you can do re: diet to help you get rid of that belly fat.

The most imoportant thing is to eat breakfast like a king (big), lunch like a prince (medium size) and dinner like a peasant (small). All three should be nutritious meals.

Snack on fruits and vegetables instead of candy, cookies, and chips.

Put red-wine vinegar on your salad instead of salad dressing. Even salad dressings that say "lite" or "free" on them aren't the best. The red-wine vinegar will make your salad taste good, and it has virtually no calories.

Eat low-fat or no-fat dairy products, such as skim milk. They kick your body into fat burning mode, especially when you get into exercising.

Finally -- speak with a doctor about your health and fitness goals before doing ANY of this!

Good luck ...

Give up caffiene ie: soda, chocolate, tea etc. Even if you don't go into an extreme diet this along with excercise will help you lose weight and crunches will help your stomach. If you really need a soda fix try, sprite 7up or othe non caffiene drinks seltzer water is better though. Good Luck!

Less caloric intake.Eat no sugar, more Protein in your diet. Do plenty of crunches, and running helps. Drink lots and lots of water. Remember, you can do all the crunches and sit ups you want. However, if you are not eating properly, you can forget losing that belly fat.
Good Luck!

Well, general exercise will trim body fat all over and eventually your tummy... for immediate, fast results, do situps and pushups...

when you do sit ups, do them to the center and to each side to burn those pesky love handles...

you can also do leg throws... you can ask someone who's into sports what those are... but basically you lay on your back and point your legs off the ground to the sky and move them up and down...

When boredom, depression, or maybe stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way to satisfy them such as enjoying a walk, calling a friend, going for a bath, reading a book, or doing some yoga.
