Try putting a little olive oil on your scalp before bed or for a few hours at least 3 times a week and let it soak in. This gives moisture back to the scalp.
Or a shampoo called T-Gel.

I've found most anti-dandruff shampoos work...for a while. I'm not sure why, but it seems like they stop working after a few weeks, then I'll switch brands and be OK for a while...maybe the fungus or whatever gets "used to" the formula. I'm currently using the head & shoulders in the green bottle and its working fine

You could also try Selsun Blue or Pantene Pro-V Dandruff Formula.
However, if your dandruff doesn't improve with over the counter products, it may be an issue for you and your dermatologist to deal with. He or she might prescribe Nizoral, a prescription dandruff shampoo with very effective, proven ingredients.

head and shoulders is the death sentence for your hair (especially if it's colored). Try a clarifying shampoo for about a week; dandruff can be caused by product build up.
also, check out deep conditioning treatments for your hair and scalp; preventative is the best way to go.

I watched a programme recently where a professional hairdresser said that if you crush an asprin and mix it with ordinary shampoo, it works as well as any proprietary anti-dandruff shampoo. I don't have dandruff, so I haven't tried it.

I used to be a hairdresser stop using head and shoulders its lethal. Try neurtrogena cant remember what it is called but its in a box and the shampoo is brown. Also after you apply your shampoo make sure you rinse it out thouroughly as that does make a difference. Tea tree shampoos are quite good too.

Hi...Avon has a great dandruff shampoo. ... also i have always been told to rinse my hair with warm water not hot as the hot water dries the scalp out and causes more dandruff.. good luck

Stay away from all the harsh stuff like t-gel or head and shoulders. Go natural and buy shampoos with tea tree oil in them or buy some pure tea tree oil and add a fews drops to your regular shampoo. Believe me it works!

Redken Solve. It's green and probably the best dandruff product on the market.
