I've been dating her for 3 months now, almost 4 and I really care about her, she is special to me, but is it wrong for me to be dating that young, its only a 3 year difference, and I really care for her?

No. My first real girlfriend and first love was a 14-year-old freshman when I was 17. It was a great relationship while it lasted. I still think of her from time to time and can still remember what she was wearing when we first met. If you make each other happy, go for it.

You are right there is only a 3 year difference in numbers. But think back to when you were her age and how your train of thought, outlook on life and sense of self has changed since that time. No matter how mature we are there are still certain things that are dictated by age. The younger we are the more we tend to believe that everything has a fairy tale ending. There things that you believed in at her age that you no longer believe in now. I am talking about people and causes that you believed in. Also the mere fact that you are asking this question lets me know that you are not completely comfortable with your age difference. A 28 year old and a 31 year old are the same amount of years apart but the gap is not that great in the sense that they have already come to know who they are and what they want. They have already experienced much more, seen more and learned more. She is at that stage in life where she has not even really to begun to explore life. She cannot even work without working papers. I mean the problem is not the years but the life experience you have oppose to what she has.

No, it's not wrong as long as you don't do the wrong things...like sex. Because at her age, it's against the law. 3 years is not too much of an age difference. My boyfriend and I are 4 years apart and we get along fine. We've been dating for four years. However, you haven't been with her for very long so I know it hasn't gotten really serious yet. If you guys do get serious, and stay together for a while...you might run into a few problems. You'll be turning 18 which will give you to ability to do more things like go to clubs and whatnot, and she'll still be underage. That might cause you two to drift apart, it might not. But it's definately not wrong to date her, as long as you're not doing the wrong things with her.

No its not wrong, but be careful when you turn 18 if you guys are having sex. Seriously her parents could turn you in, or anyone that gets mad, and that could be a problem. You can get in trouble even if you have been dating for a long time. Think about that. And I am sure you are going to college soon, so that is something else to think about. But no 3 years is not a big deal, as you get older 3 years is nothing at all

Yes, I believe that it is wrong. In the first place, you are both in very different places in your lives right now, so although thinking of it as only a three year difference doesnt seem like a big deal, it is. The young lady still has some growing up to do, and likely wont take the relationship as seriously as you, aside from the legal standpoint which differs from state to state. It is also very important to consider her parent/ gaurdians feelings on the topic.

Your both in high school, or will be so I don't see a problem as long as her parents are okay with it.
If she's just starting 8th grade, I wouldn't let my daughter date a 17 year old. But my rule is no dating until 16 years old.
If you stay dating, or date someone else:
Be respectful, NO Sex, no drinking, and don't spend alot of time alone, be with friends.
Good luck

No it's not wrong. You both are still in high school and probably on the same maturity level. It's ok as long as you both are open about things in the relationship and talk things over. It's only a 3 year difference.

well, as long as the relationship is not sexual , and her parents are OK with it, its fine. But if it has reached the sexual point, it is VERY wrong a 14 year old CHILD has no concept of everything that goes along with sex.If you were to get her pregnant, I imagine it would be a whole different ball game with her parents, especially after you turn 18.So if you love her, respect her, she is still too young for sex, if you really love her you will wait.If you just go out, see movies, and things like that, I think you are OK

Is it wrong to be dating? no... do her parents know? they should... but you could be heading for some legal trouble, statutory rape is against the law, and she is too young for that sort of thing anyway. The real answer to this question is it wrong? technically no, but you are 17 sex is on your mind, and it is wrong of you to have sex with this girl so... it might be the smart thing not to date her. Oh the legal aspects of this could vary depending on the state in which you live.
Good luck, and I hope this helps.
