the main difference is "like" is basically when you're infatuated with a person. It comes on right when you see that person. It's that uncomfortable feeling you get around that person.
Now, love is a whole another thing. Love doesn't come on at first, well for me anyways. It develops over time as you get to know that person. As time goes on, you realize how much you care for them.
So, you could basically say, liking is when you like them for their looks. Love is more of the liking of the personality of the person and their attributes over time.
-Hope this was of some use!

When I separate the person from who they are, i.e. a body part, that person has an incredible bottom, or they are hot, I am separating the person from who they are to how they appear/look. I am also idealizing who they are based on the objectification of their body, i.e., because that person is hot, I would like to get to know them, or somehow they are appealing emotionally mentally because they are hot. As I am objectifying, lust shows itself in fantasy. What would I like, what would I like to do with and to them. So I would say when the idealized picture of this person is replaced with reality, IE., who they really are. You can accept and be willing to see past faults, issues, problems because Love carries no jealousy, love doesn't judge, love don't do anything for self gratitude, love gives unconditionally, love is trust, love is respect, love is truth!

the difference between like and love is The feeling of love starts from the eye But the feeling of like starts from the ear. So if you stop liking a person you used to like, all you need
to do is cover your ears. But if you try to close your
eyes, love turns into a drop of tear and remains in
your heart forever...

Wow, you go for the big, hard ones! Here goes...
~~~
Like is when you like to hang out and do things and they don't get on your nerves much and you think they're an OK person and you care about them and appreciate who they are and what they do for you.
~~~
Love is all of the above and also being willing to forgive them when they hurt you and to do things for them even when you don't feel like it and to do things they like that you don't like and put up with their flaws, their family/friends, and their problems.
~~~
Most of all, like is a feeling that comes and goes. Love is a choice that usually goes with a feeling, but continues to guide you in decisions that affect both people, even when the feeling fades away. Of course it is important to try to keep that feeling alive - make time for romance and passion - but when you have a lifetime love, you don't bail out when the going gets tough.
The difference btween like and love is so mild. To like someone is to have a friendship with them. And as you progress to love, you start to date. Love is marriage. Love is a stronger feeling than like and will only come once in a life time if it is true love.
