I love the generalization as if all women do. I am sorry you have some women that play the "pms game" in your life but not all women do. Some people have genuine PMS and no there isn't always help for it. Ever since I had my kids I get horrible back pain during my period and I deal with it. I am not a big fan of taking pain relievers because I don't think prolonged use is good for me. I figure if I can birth a baby naturally then I can deal with some back pain. But there are women out there that have serious conditions related to PMS and there isn't always a "cure" for it so give women a break.
Here's my generalization .. most men (not all) are the biggest babies when it comes to getting sick. Oh, poor me I can't move I can't do anything for myself, it can be quite pathetic. Where as most woman stick it out because we have responsible we can't just drop like caring for our kids.

I don't know if this is what you intended, but referring to PMS as a "game" comes across as rather insensitive. I wonder if you say that people play the "diabetes game" or the "cancer game", for example. It's a medical condition, and should be discussed like one.
I don't think anyone enjoys being in pain. As you can imagine, when people are uncomfortable, sometimes they don't always act their best. I would hope that you would react with compassion if you know someone for whom this is a serious problem. Hopefully you'll never have to experience the difficulty associated with a recurring illness.
Thank goodness I don't have to experience the mood swings and irritability that are associated with some women's periods. However, I do typically experience two days of menstrual pain per cycle, for which I take quite large doses of ibuprofen, generally. However, at given moments, even the ibuprofen isn't enough to cut the discomfort, or it hasn't fully kicked in yet. At these times, as you can guess, I'm distracted, to say the least, and probably not totally "with it" as I usually am. I consider myself a pretty even-keeled person, but I would hope that my friends and family would understand if I weren't "on my game" at every single moment. Hopefully they would see within and realize that any offense to them isn't intentional.
I think when dealing with people with any illness, in fact, it helps to see the nice person inside, even if that nice person doesn't come out all the time.

I'm sure PMS affects a lot of women, but I think some women just use it as an excuse to be a pain.
It's even gotten to the point where anyone, not just women, are justified for being hotheaded. Have you heard that road rage is now being considered as a disease? It's so ridiculous.

Believe me...it's not a "game". Some people don't have the resources to get help, or maybe they don't know their is help. I have PMDD and can clear a room when it's that time. I'm like a one womanstage show. Some people don't want to admit they have such a ersonal problem because others will think differently about them. I know for awhile my bf thought he had to walk around on eggshells at "that time". Now it's old hat, I take my herbs and hope for the best!

PMS sucks for women. If men were to get PMS instead of women, what do you think you'd have to go through.

Your female friend is sooooo fortunate to have you ever! My boyfriend makes amusing of me at my time of the month and complains approximately how flat chested I am and unsightly and stuff and his peers hate me however.. in any case you must go away her on my own for a bit that could be first-rate and provide her choclate and sweet or some thing

One, PMS IS monthly, duh!
Two, some women don't know there is help.
Three, some women don't want to take PROZAC (the real name for Sarifem) to deal with PMS. So they just deal with it to the best of their ability.
Four, get over it, dang it! What is your problem? You are getting on my nerves!!!!
(oh, sorry, I'm PMSing...)

Because its just the way it is. Not that we want to go through it. Some of us control it better then others. Sometimes, you just need to be a b*tch, so you don't control it at all.
