Buying a wolf or hybrid is selfish and inhumane - they are not domesticated animals - they are NOT DOGS - I have seen to many people obtain these animals and within a year or two are in a big mess because at about 9months to year old they will start establishing dominance and you will be dominated because you are part of their pack - they don't look to humans as domesticated dogs do - I advise you NOT TO GET ONE - think about the welfare of the animal not how cool it would be to own one! There is a great wolf and hybrid sanctuary in my state with a lot of information.

I have a friend with a wolf hybrid. She would definitely recommend that you NOT get a wolf / dingo or even a hybrid. They have a lot of wild left in them...and wolves are HUGE! You've got the space, but you might want to get a regular dog (or two!) instead. Good luck!

Well I had a dingo litter but they weren't full-blooded... they had a small trace of rottrieller in them from past breeding. It is illegal in most states to own a full-blooded wild canine or feline for that matter, but talk to your local athorities and they should help. Also, it is kindof cruel as they are happy in the wild, its like taking a mansion person and making him live in a port-o-potty. You need alot of room in able to have the wolf happy, and they are like other pets, you cant just feed water and show it off, you'll have to tame it and give it the right enviroment.

In most places, in order to have a wolf or a dingo, you need a wildlife license.
Wolves and dingos are not, and never can become, pets. They are not like dogs, and are much more unpredictable.
To keep one, you need to respect the boundaries of wildlife....
These are not animals to take in just because you want something ''different''.

depends on the country and ground rules for keeping wild and exotic species. Since wolves are endangered I would think there would be laws about that. As for dingos, those dogs are a little too wild don't you think? Are you seriously considering going through with this?

In alot of states it is illegal to have a full-blooded wolf. Cause they are a wild and unpredictable animal. I'm not sure about dingoes, though

if it is legal you better know what you are dealing with because these dogs are essentially wild animals with wild animal instincts. if you do get them, make sure your 2.5 acres are completely secure, like an 8 foot fence all around. My alaskan malamute can easily clear a 6 footer

It depends on local laws. You may need an exotic pet license, or a dangerous pet license for the wolf. Your best bet is to check with city hall, they should be able to give you applicable information.

Depends on what state you're in...in California, at least, the CA Department of Fish and Game(Cal-DFG) has VERY strict rules on what exotic animals you can legally keep--at least w/ a special license!
Good luck...check out the official CA state government website, and click/link over to "Department of Fish and Game"...
