Don't be shocked, but isn't our "freedom" to buy or not buy a particular newspaper far more powerful than the "freedom of the press?" Without our money, won't the NY Times eventually go out of business?

I heard thousands of subscribers had canceled their subscriptions-The fact is take away the money and they go broke. Maybe people should boycott the businesses who advertise in the NY Times and really hurt them, they probably make more $ off them anyways.

It is the public duty of a newspaper to print news. Real news. Factual news.

When newspapers have stronger moral standards than the corrupt politicians they are exposing these newspapers should be praised for helping maintain our very basic freedoms.

Not unless YOU agree to buy everything the NY Times prints..and then simply dont honor that contract.

your smallness tells you that you dont have any power individually to affect change to a conglomerate llike the NY Times. And why should you?? Your only one voice anyway?? Im glad your not making any decisions for me or mine.

If you dont like the paper..dont buy it..its that simple.

Against Abortions....dont have one..its that simple

but dont presume to tell me or anyone else here what to do..I dont care what youve been told.

No! What is wrong with you.
Without freedom of press, how would you know
what the truth is.
Hard enough these days and it's really not as if the press
isn't already manipulated by money.
I'll bet you believed in WMDs thanks to a manipulated press.

Not necessarily. A lot of people out of habit will adjust their standards.
