Its summer time you all ! Your pet can have a heat stroke, heat exuation, the most two accidental death rates with animals, dehydration,(not enough water) all this can happen within 2 hours or less. Please if your pet is in the sun move it too the shade.Dont keep it there. In 90 degree weather or above keep your pets inside at all times.Make sure your pet has enough to drink. If it drinks nothing for more than 2 hours get the pet to a vet. That is a sign of trouble. You your self also need to drink plenty of water.I was on a trip with my youth group on the way to minnesota and it was really hot...well I had to do First Aid an my friend cause he suffered a heat stroke. We had to pick him up from the hospital after the mission trip was over. Please be careful , when you see someone who is pail take them in rather they like it or not.

Why did you ask the question when you gave us the answer. I'm assuming because you care and are trying to make people aware. Well, good for you, there a lot of ignorant people out there that don't understand what can happen to their animals because of the heat. I agree 100% with everything you said. Right now it is 90 + here. Want to know where my dogs are? Well I will tell you. They are sleeping on my bed in my nice air conditioned house. People need to realize that that our animals are not just animals they are furry people and she be treated like they are our children. After all they really are.

You bet! Thanks for getting this info out here!

One summer, I saw a small, short-haired dog end up with heat stroke after only a half an hour of being outside. The heat index was over 100 degrees that day.

Thanks for trying to inform people on the dangers of keeping your pets outside in the heat. It makes me sick when I see a dog chained up in the heat outside. My friend and I fight all the time over his dog outside. He has a rottweiller and he is on short chain not much shade one spot stays shady all the time but still when it's 85-90 outside I wish he would bring him in. He likes it is what he tells me BULLSHIT can't tell him he doesn't thta's all

it can hurt them just like a human. The best thing to do in hot weather is to never leave them outside for real long periods of time they to in a way are like humans in hot weather

I don't see a question here, but, leaving a pet in the Sun can actually "cook" the brain.
