I have no problem with non-believers here. I am not insulted by your presence; in fact, this may be the perfect setting for you. I pray that God would speak to you in some way that you would believe in Him. True Christians do not condemn others, however, love them and avoid saying hurtful things. However, I will not refrain from expressing how I feel about my personal relationship with God and how He has carried me through many difficult times.

I believe it is a sign of loyalty and strength to allow non-believers to be here. You are facing the darkness and proudly stating, "I believe!" Demons will always lurk and it is true in the world as would be here. Legally, they have all right. Maybe by allowing them to stay there is a possibility to convert as conversations progress.
It is simply a matter of free will and I personally do not have a problem. You know what you believe and you do not have to respect them for insulting you, but it is impossibly to hide from non-believers, especially on an online publicly accessible site.
This question is a matter of bias, personal opinion. If you do not like non-believers in this section, then good luck. Like I said, it is practically impossible to remove them and asking them to do so will only encourage more to come. It's best to hold your tongue against non-believers and focus on your faith. Besides, I find that non-believers always post questions that any strong, loyal believer could easily answer. These questions can lead to the discovery of new faith or a reassurance of your own.
Let them be, as long as you believe, that's all that matters.

I mean astrology isn't as relevant as it used to be. I myself don't believe in astrology, but that doesn't mean you cant blame me for not believing it. I am not a hater, so I wouldn't go saying things that would hurt you or anyone with horoscope question. Isn't this a answer site where people just give advise and answer question? Come on guys we are a community lets be a big family.

The fact is, a lot of non-believing people DO come to this site for the purpose of insulting Christians. There are some that post questions of such an unbelievably insulting and degrading nature that the possibility of them being open to anything or want to actually discuss anything is nonexistent. It's hard to tell them apart from people who have honest questions.
It's not wrong to ask questions. It's a good thing to ask questions in my book. (I'm a Christian, by the way) And by book, I don't mean the Bible... just... my book. My opinion.
I think you should be allowed in this section of Yahoo!Answers, but I think that those who just want to aggrevate, confuse and insult should stay off this site, because they just make people mad, and that's not what Yahoo! Answers was made for. It's a misuse of this website, and it's wrong in my opinion.
By all means, if you have real things to say or ask, please stay on this site and ask questions.

It's an interestingly fine line, isn't it?
Seems to be there are lots of Christians here who have no problem with atheists in the religion and spirituality section. My thanks to them. I think, as they do, that atheism must be counted as a valid spiritual decision, just as not voting can be a valid political decision. It can help provide a context, a challenge, a question not only to Christianity but to all faiths here as it can in the real world outside.
I guess if we wanted to really come down to splitting hairs, here would be as good a place as any to say "I do not believe in God", whereas "I do not think god exists" might be one for the philosophy section - belief being instinctive and essentially emotional, where thought is essentially cerebral and logical.
Make sense?

The only issue I have is ignorance. How is that a question addressed to "Christians only," you get responses from atheists and agnostics with their nonbelief? Can't give any respect? If atheists do the same, I move on to another question. This works both ways, I know. More of the inane answers and hatred seems to come from the atheists.
I have no problem, it should be a even terms. But when someone proclaims sexual innuedo with Jesus, mock or to defame Him, this goes beyond the lines of simple questions and answering.
Common courtesy is all I would ask.

It's not about non-believers being in this section. It's about people who mock. People who make fake questions with the intent to insult instead of inquire. People who arn't just trying to share their differing opinion when answering, but make comments meant only to hurt or attack people.
I am a CHRISTian and I am not scared of someones differing opnion. In fact I beg you to think! Thinking is very important. However, I am intelligent enough to discern the difference between sincere statements and ones done only to mock and defame either me or my beliefs.
Also, this is not the CHRISTian section. This is the religion and spirituality section. This includes questions and answers on not only CHRISTian topics but a variety of other differing ideas.
Non-CHRISTians do belong and are welcomed here.

This section is clearly for you. Your belief that there is no God is a spiritual belief. Therefore nonbelief belongs in the same section as the one for believers. Besides, it's always good to hear an opposing view (assuming that they are not insulting).

It would seem that way. Or even people who believe in God, or some deity, but just don't believe in "religion." You know what, it is all about free speech, and since we are just lending our opinions (as we have a right to do), I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to browse through that section.
