how come there are so many people on here and otherwise saying how they could never be unfaithful and that they are so in love with their significant other...but yet there are so many people that are cheating and/or being dishonest about their relationship? it seems like so many people say they want to be in a straight forward, monogamous relationship without all the bs and games but yet its so hard to get that. why??? my boyfriend/fiance just up and decided he didnt want this relationship anymore after years of being together and talking about marriage and him saying he was ready to put all the bs behind us and be together. im having a really hard time dealing with this. not to mention we are 28 and had known each other since childhood. i just dont understand it.

To me if a person needs to cheat on his or her spouse/boyfriend, then they didnt love them to start with. Alot of people stress to much on the sexual side of the relastionship and that means they are immature. There is more to a relationship then sex. There has to be all the elemnts for it to work. Compainship, trust, Honesty. More relationships would work out if they would put more emphasis on the other elements of a relationship. No one honors thier vows anymore...its like they make a joke out of something that was meant to bind us together for a lifetime. My aunt and uncle have been married for 47 years and are just as happy now as they where when they first met. Dont let one man bring you down, that should let you know he wouldnt have made a good husband

You cannot control anyone else's thoughts but your own. At twenty five I had a similar incident with a girl. My world came crashing down on me. However, it allowed me to become the person I am today. I am happily married and so is she (the ex). Sometimes things don't make any sense at first, and then their true meanings are revealed. All I can say is to stay positive and know that life goes on. I wish you the best and hope your story ends up like mine (I'm 32).

I went through something similar and it sucks, makes you feel like crap when you invest so much time into someone and they ask you to marry them and then one day after 3/1/2 years of dating they decide well I m going to start cheating and going out with someone else. You being the idiot you think everything is perfect until one day you wake up and go to school and realize this girl that you just met is going out with your guy. Love sucks!
I knew this guy since kindergarden and he was in second grade when I met him but got held back because of illness and he became my best friend and we went all through highschool and dated in college too and then he asked me but then he decided all the sudden that he didn't want to broke my heart real bad and I don't think I will ever recover.

better now than 2.5 kids later, your clock is ticking and it hits home for you more than it did. I think it scares people being someones only and forever. I never had a problem with it but some people do, I can't say that it isn't fun being single and doing what I want. and I don't look forward to giving that up, but someday I may feel compelled. just enjoy your time to do all the things you felt you couldn't or shouldn't. he gave your freedom back, you may not have wanted it right now , but enjoy it.
