Tolerance and acceptance would certainly go a long way toward achieving peace. I walk with the Lord and as I told my husband the other day, if only 50% of the world felt the peace, comfort and contentment I feel everyday because I know I am loved by God and I know where I will spend eternity, 90% of the strife would cease.
Let's all try accepting and tolerating each other and our differences.

Acceptance will not bring peace. As much as I would love to believe it, it won't happen because humans are innately evil. Only due to the existence of a Moral Law do we feel obligated to honor any aspect of what we deem civilization. Total acceptance will lead to apathy and lack of individualism. Indifference is one of the greatest evils and though it can conquer hate, it can also conquer love, and to do so is even worse than to hate. Hate stands in the circles of Love.
However, the impossibility of a task does not excuse us from the obligation imposed on us by this Moral Law, which is given by God. Just because we think it is impossible by human knowledge doesn't mean that we shouldn't make a sincere and wholehearted effort to achieve this peace.

Unfortunately there is a human desire for strife and war, to fight, to love, to live.
Whenever there is a differance there will be fear.
Fear breeds contempt.
Contempt brings anger, resentment, and much more.
The only true peace is with God and through Him.
Jesus Chirst
The blood he shed brought peace to the world
only we have to accept that it is a bridge to God
only through Him can we find everlasting
uncomprehensible
totalling ingulfing
peace
Till the end there will not be true peace in the world
the peace of the world is only pretend.

I think we can as well. I usually get on yahoo answers and am saddened by the way people talk to each other especially in the religious section, today when I came on this was the first thing I read. Thank you for putting a smile on my face and brightening my day. You are doing good work and spreading peace just by asking such things. I will try my hardest (as usual) to be good to people today and look for all the good in them. Thank you for starting my day with a loving and peaceful thought!

it could happen, but peace No WAY!!!
acceptance of religion, race, and creed may be possible. But what about MONEY, poor people will never accept wealthy people... Poverty will not allow a full peace.
Poor guy "sure its ok you have 30 million, you worked hard and deserve your money" can you ever hear this being said.. I dont think so

That would be great. I think it would definitely help. I think it will take a while and may never bring absolute peace, but if we each try every day, the world could definitely improve.

Acceptance is great as long as the morals and principles are founded on Gods word. I don't have to accept anyone who doesn't share my beliefs just the same as they don't have to accept mine.

No, because there are always going to be intolerant, irrational people out there who like to blow things up
