Yes, there are some women who have decided they're going to marry a provider, and if you don't have the bank account they like, you're not going to have them. Don't let this convince you that all attractive women are like this however, because most are not.

But there are a couple factors to consider here...

First off, women are universally attracted to confidence. Sometimes women mistake the swagger of a man with money and power as confidence. Other times, men are in fact confident because they have said money and power. Either way, chicks dig confidence, so men with money tend to do better with them.

Also, while most women don't necessarily need a wealthy man, they usually don't want a guy who's so destitute that he's 30 years old and still living with his mother either. For most women, grown women especially, you do need to at least be self-sufficient. A man who's well off enough to pay for his own apartment, food, clothes, car, and a little entertainment will generally satisfy this requirement.

Here's the thing most girls don't get.

Most guys know if you're after them for the money and they are not going to let you "catch them".

But that said it is NOT wrong to consider money when marrying.

Money is important. Women naturally find men who can provide appealing. Goes back to cave days...everyone wanted to marry a good hunter.

But men are looking for a woman who can provide what they need too. That can vary...but basically it goes back to cave days too when women were gatherers, and baby makers. We still are aren't we..usually who does the grocery shopping and babyminding?

When I was younger and looking for a husband I looked for a man I thougt had the skills to be a good husband. Someone who although he was not making a lot of money at the moment had POTENTIAL. Potential to earn a good wage, potential to be a good dad, someone who I thought it would be fun to hang with for the next 50 years. Someone who was smart, funny, and who thought I was too! Someone who was looking for someone like me....who wanted to be a stay at home mom but an active mariage partner.

My hubby will be the first to tell you that he never could have advanced in his career without me by his side. He could travel the world knowing I was home minding the fort. I had his back.

And it is a 2 way streeet because he had mine. Now it's my turn to explore my career and we've bought me a nice little business that is eventually going to let my husband kick back and watch me enjoy business world for a while.

Some people think being young is where it's at. But I'll tell you after 15 plus years of marriage and passing the age of 40 I'm loving life more now than ever! Choosing the right mate can set you up for life.

Choosing just for money will never gaurenttee happiness.

Choosing for potential will.

Choosing to work hard and do it together is crucial to a happy marriage.
