Yes, I went on a blind date 41 years ago, fell in love at once, married my wife 9 months later, and we had four children in five years. We are still happily married, and my children are all grown up with families of their own
I would recommend a blind date. They can be fun, and there is NO commitment involved unless you wish to pursue it further.
Good Luck!!

I went on a blind date once, we hit it off, we dated for 1 and a half and then he decided that he didnt have the same feelings as I did. I would also, tell you to try the internet dating thing. I did that and now I am a happily married woman of 13 months. But you have to be very careful when doing that. I emailed my husband for about a month before I gave him my phone number and then we talked for about another month before we met. We met in a VERY PUBLIC place.
I would recommend blind dating or on line dating because you get to know the person before you get to see or let the superficial things get in the way.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

I had the blind date from Hell and swore it off for good. My suggetion is make sure that whoever sets you up really knows you and the other person before you go. See if you can actually talk to each other first - or have them have a get together and that way the two of you can meet in a more casual setting - trust me - it can get bad really quickly!

I've been on 10 blind dates. Sure, give it a try. Each one was an experience. Not all great, but none bad.

They can be fun ... but they can be horrible too !
Make sure you trust the person who is setting you up !
I went out with this Dr. one time and it was sooo funny ... he picked me up in a Mazda Miada ( haha .. can't stand guys who drive little crappy convertibles )
He listen to nothing and I mean nothing but Coldplay the whole time ... he was rude to the waitress ( she was only in high school and didn't know how to open a bottle of wine - so he got all upset and threw a fit - hello the girl isn't even old enough to drink .. what do you expect )
After that we walked on the beach .. and he began to talk about how he couldn't sleep without listening to Sarah McLaughlin all night - I about died laughing !
Lets just say I didn't go out on the second date with him .. he seemed a little too feminine to me !

Yes I have & I married him! He was killed in a car wreck about 12 years ago and I still miss him everyday! That just goes to show that sometimes our friends know more about our interests than we do...LOL There's nothing wrong with a blind date.

If you're an adventurous type, as I am, its ok. I have been on 3 in my lifetime and none panned out. In my opinion it is best to know who you're dating in advance. I'd do it again though because I like surprises and spontaneity. Just be careful ladies!

Blind Dating doesn't work. Exchange pics/bio info before doing it unless your friend is setting you up, in which case you have to trust their judgement
