Ok first of all head over to Phut Pong at around 7pm, it's an amazing place for really cheap shopping and really interesting gadgets, then at aboout 9 pm all the bars open up, thats where the fun starts.

The bars all have banana shows, don't ask what they are just go to one, drinking is really cheap and the weather is great. Everything is incredibly inexpensive and it's awesome.

IMPORTANT: you can bargain anything never settle for the price they ask!!!!

A great one. There are plenty of nightclubs, bars, etc... You can even just walk into the 7-11 on Khao San Road, grab a cheap beer, and have a people-watching extravaganza. You can go to Patpong or Soi Cowboy and see the seedier side of Bangkok. It's a great place, and although the nightclubs close at 1 a.m., there's always someplace else with people hanging out. I prefer an alley around the corner from Khao San Road, where cheap bars pay off the cops and stay open all night.

It can be hectic, it can be a bore. Depends on your interests. Night life ends about 2a.m. so you can expect the city to be pretty quiet after this time.

If you are looking for bars, go to Sukhumvit area and there will be busy to keep you busy. If you want girlie bars, head for Patpong at Silom. Just watch yourself there. Otherwise, you can wlak the streets and see if anyone approaches you to help you sightsee Bangkok at night.

There are discos around, but likely to be crowded with locals and some tourists. These will be more towards Sathon side.

Shopping at night, head to Lumpini Park for the Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Or down to Khao San Rd night market too, though the market ends about 9-10p.m.

Take your pick.

Bangkok - Chatuchuck (sp) market (day market) or Suan Lum nighttime strange. The Grand Palace. between the Buddhas. no longer a lot else. Bangkok isn't that tremendous. Koh Samui and Hua Hin are the perfect beaches - eye-catching, sparkling and vacationer pleasant. Chiang Mai has the perfect paying for (low priced!) and the most astonishing production unit excursions (silk, umbrellas, video games...the list maintains) you could also holiday elephants and do bamboo rafting in Chiang Mai. that's my popular position. In Bangkok, The Bangkok Christian targeted visitor abode is tremendous - sparkling and on the brink of the Skytrain. i do not learn about the different places.

Contrary to other posts I would avoid the upstairs bars in PatPong. They are notorious rip off joints and tourist traps. If you like girls try the NANA Entertainment plaza on soi 4. Many small gogo bars and shows in one spot. If you are a newbie, dont be ashamed to ask some other farang at a bar what to do but be careful.
