I asked this question a while back.
Most people thought that a person using a wheelchair should be able to go directly to the stall for that purpose, since it may require them extra time to use the restroom. Yes, they get to bypass the line.
If there are no wheelchair users in line, everyone should be entitled to use that stall just like all the others.

Yes, they are allowed to "jump the line". For a couple of reasons:
1) There is only ONE stall that they are able to use. That stall was put there for their convenience, not the convenience of us non-handicapped folk. Thus, once it is available, it is for the use of the person it was designed for.
2) You do not know what their medical condition is. It may be very difficult for them to "hold it".
3) It might take them some serious time to even get in and maneuver around. Between that time and the waiting time, depending on their condition, an "accident" could happen.
4) Suck it up and wait an extra two minutes. Show a bit of compassion for those with handicaps.

yes u r being rude I'm sorry but how would you feel if you were not able to walk and had to sit in a wheel chair your whole life? if there is only 1 or 2 handicap stalls and the handicap person has to wait in a long line for one of them is that really fair? when we have our choice of 20 stalls & they get a couple of them?...maybe they should make restrooms with nothing but handicaped stalls then u can bitchand moan and complain about it untill then show some ******* compassion and stop being so damn selfish i really hate people like you.....by the way im not being mean or insensitive either...

I think that since they can't get into a regular stall, they get the handicapped one, before any non-handicapped person gets it. It's just like a parking space in a crowded mall...do you park in the handicapped space if there's no where else to park? Realistically speaking, in a restroom that there's a line for, is the handicapped stall ever open? Look at it like this: If they wait in line like everyone else and when it's their turn, only a regular stall opens, then another regular stall, then another, they have to give up their turn 3 times just to get into the handicapped stall. That's not right either.

This question truely comes from someone who has never had a disability of their own (thankfully). Do you realize the 'work' it takes for someone who is disabledto go to the bathroom? The next time this happens to you, pay attention to how long that person is in a stall. More than likely, if your waiting in line (depending how long that line is) you could be in and out before that person is done doing what they have to do.........just pay attention next time and be thankfull that you aren't in that persons shoes.

If handicapped stall is open, then go ahead. If not, wait until it is empty and then proceed. Some handicapped people have problems with bowel and bladder control and I would rather they didn't have an embarrassing accident.

the elderly I think should be able to cut line, children & women who obviously cannot wait, I usually let them go ahead of me, however I know what you talking about. It is annoying When the handicap are rude & think it's their right to cut ahead. BEcause technically it's not their right, and they should wait in line like everyone else

Let the handicapped go first. You have no idea what they go through in a day, and to have someone be kind to them would mean an awful lot!
By the way, I am not handicapped, but I would let them go first.
