A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

ALSO....
i found this artical called "50 Habits of "Naturally Thin" People
How to get Started:Decide how much you want to loose and see how many calories a day it will take to make it happen by year's end. Then, work into your routines however many of these eating tweaks and exercises you need to achieve your goal.
Slash 250 cal.s a day to lose about 25 lbs. in a year, Slash 500 cal.s to loose 50 pounds.
This is based on a 150-pound person: you may need to cut more/ fewer calories depending on ur weight, age & gender. It also assumes your normal calorie intake essentially stays the same and your weight is stable.

When i was in the USAF in 1964 they had a fitness programm called 5BX which consisted of 5 one minute exercises that were intended to keep you fit in 5 minutes a day. recently i learned that the rest of the exercise world has discovered that rapid exhausting exercise can be very good for you such as wind sprints etc. they work better than long jogs to get your body toned.

The 5 we did were just jumping jacks, sit-ups, toe touches, push-ups. deep knee bends . nothing exotic.
today you can substitute any 5 basic exercises and do them rapidly for 1 minute each. sit-ups have been shown to be bad for backs now, so substitute crunchs. for deep knee bends substitute not so deep knee bends. etc. the key is to do them fast and furious to get the max in 5 minutes. its free and takes no time from your schedule.
Oh and by the way, they took the idea from CANADA where it was originally developed. You may wish to research this on net,

Also add some pilates for the gradual stretching etc that is so good for you without the strain, you can get a book or tape for $20

Good luck. start slow and build up so you do not bust a gut or pull a muscle . after a couple weeks you can build up the intensity which is the KEY feature

There are several things you can do and you can even watch TV while you are doing them.

First, sit on the edge of your couch or chair (just like your sitting in a normal position) with your arms straight down. Lift both your legs up with your knees bent and pull them toward your stomach and hold them there for a few seconds, then let your legs down but not quite all the way to the ground, repeat for 10 times.

Second, a great arm exercise. Squat in front of your couch or chair and put your arms in back of you on the couch and lift your body until your arms are almost straight then let your arms and body back down until your arms are at a 90 degree angle and then lift your body back up again. Again, repeat 10 times.

Third, you can do incline push-ups. Just put your arms on the edge of the couch or chair and do push ups.

Do sets of ten as many times as you like. I have done this just when I'm at home watching TV. It' s a great way to tone up and burn calories while your normally doing something that doesn't burn calories at all. Best of all, it doesn't cost you anything.

If you have a PlayStation you can get the " Maya personal fitness trainer". I got it for Christmas and I love it! It doesn.t get boring and you can win new exercises and places to work out after you have been there for so many sessions. It even has recipes on it. It only costs about 30 bucks and it is well worth it!

Check discount stores for a cheap set of weights. If you are really desparate, you can fill large plastic water bottles with sand and use those. Sit ups and push ups are great exercises, and adding a resistance band to a normal cardio workout can improve strength significantly.

Buy a small plastic rubbermade step stool and do step ups while you watch TV.

Also you can borrow exercise tapes free from the local library. Try some and go out and buy what you like best.
