I thought of Bashful because he has little orange circles on his cheeks. He looks like he is wearing blush or is blushing. It also has to be a inisex name because we won't know if he is male or female until it's first molt.We assume he is male though. Many Thanks in advance.Be Blessed! Monica

That "blushing" feather color will show that in most cases it is a male. But like you said still have to wait. My wife and I named ours Bradley after one of her favorite authors at the time. She got to name the bird and I named the dog. Bradley worked really well because saying it enough times he finally learned it and will repeat it back (among MANY other things now), that and BradleyBird rolled easily. I think Bashful would be easy for it to learn. Good choice.

I like the name Sunny. Since his cheeks are orange they would remind me of a beautiful sunset. This name would be perfect for a male or female cockatiel.

If he is vocal and has orange cheeks he is a male. Females don't vocalize and do not have vibrant color.

It is most likely male if it has the large orange cheeks. Mine is named Hannibal, he was abused when I got him and would bite alot. He's much friendlier now, but only likes me.

We opted for a unisex name for the same reason and chose "Sydney" because they originated in Australia.
