I asked Christians, "What evidence do they have that spirits can think?"
The following so called answers that Christians gave were not even answers and had nothing to do with the question at hand.
Christianity is all about faith. Note: This has nothing to do with evidence that spirits can think but this person is suggesting that I shouldn't even be asking the question
There are spirits right now confusing your brain. Note: This is not an answer but an attack on me for asking a question that this person can't answer.
God is real. Note: This is obviously not an answer because it has nothing to do with evidence that spirits can think
You lack the ability to define what is is Note: This is not an answer to the question. If I could define it, I wouldn't be asking the question.
Spirits are made up of all kinds of unseen things. Note: This is telling me nothing so therefore, it is not an answer

Jessica, I know spirits dont exist. I was just giving Christians the benefit of the doubt. Because Christians believe spirits do exist, I asked how could they think. I trapped them in their own belief.

I thinks this proves that they are misinformed and need to learn more about the bible. In scripture 9:5 states "the dead are conscious of nothing at all". So the answer to your question on whether spirits can think is NO. I will leave with saying this, The spirit of satan is very much conscious and the difference he was once an angel and he is trying to take as many as he can down with him.

The answer is....there is no "proof" of God, or the Holy Spirit's existence, let alone that they are conscious beings with thought processes. It is something that Christians believe based on faith, and their own personal experiences.
If you have not had any experiences with The Divine Spirit, then there is nothing I can tell or show you as evidence.
What kind of evidence do you want? It is very hard to prove anything has thoughts, like dogs and cats...can we prove they have thoughts? I might even suggest I've met humans I had serious doubts about if they had a thought in their heads...LOL
Please don't get defensive, I genuinely want to know...what kind of evidence could there be?

I respect that you have done so much research. But i do not think that this is proof that they are stupid. Maybe they don't know enough about their own religion and panic. Thus giving an answer that has nothing to do with the question. I am a christian and am still growing with God.People have questions and some just cant give the right answers. But I hope you do find your answer one day. Live well and best wishes. Bye the way God loves everyone the way they are but He doesn't accept everyone the way they are.God has moved through my life so much and has forgiven me of so many things. He loves you too. And He will forgive you give Him a chance. I dont know where you live but try talking to a pastor in your area. Youve done research to bash God now try doing research about Him. Read the Bible. He understands so much more than we do. But if you pray He will give you the REAL answer. :) :) :) :) :)

you're proper! You did not get strong solutions. yet a pattern of 10 is under no circumstances adequate to be considered a rigorous statistical pattern, is it? and absolutely no longer adequate to sentence an total team of persons, for even if it really is, then each and every team is condemnable, jointly with some communities that i'm certain you qualify for. a much better reaction, besides the undeniable fact that, is that you've not supported your position that spirits can not imagine. What info do you're able to refute the area that they could? Oh, gee, that appears an same quantity, if no longer a lot less, than the quantity of info provided up by utilizing the ten those who replied your preferable question. undergo in ideas them? the ten those who you pronounced were stupid? nicely, you aren't any smarter than they are, large fella. flow alongside, no longer something to ascertain right here. only a self-agrandizing J.A.

I have never claimed that spirits can think, however, neither have I claimed that they couldn't. I do not know where or how your question originated. However, just because one answers a question directed to Christians does not mean that they are a Christians, just as one answering a question directed to atheists or agnostics does not make that one a atheist or agnostic. Is not the purpose of Yahoo Answers to allow everyone to display publicly their own opinion? Directing a question to a particular group is fine, however, one cannot be close-minded enough to expect that that group and that group ONLY will respond. I don't know if you were expecting only Christians or not, but either way, ANYONE can CLAIM be be a Christian.
Note to jim_darwin:
What if I talked to "Santa" (or God), and He talks back to me? It's more than an interaction through a third-party, and I'm sorry that you see it that way.

Well, this question is going to be a little tough to understand for you probably. See, my evidence is the Bible and my support comes from it. Seeing how you do not believe in the Bible, you will probably just dismiss the answers, but here it is nonetheless:
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, thinks. He knows, He feels, He speaks, He gets disappointed and happy. He has a wide display of emotions and it's all recorded in text.
Here's a question for you, why do you think spirit's can't think?

This is proof to me that they must think. Spirits are also Angels, remember, however, that there are two kinds of angels, good and bad. Hebrews 1:14 tells us that some are ministering spirits sent to minister unto those who will be heirs of salvation, but in the book of Ephesians it says that there are also wicked spirits. "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:11, 12. Now we have two great hosts of beings. The good angels are ministering spirits; the wicked angels are spirits of devils - one seeking our salvation, the other seeking our destruction.
So, based on the fact that they can choose to make wicked or choose to minister, I would say yes, they think.
I understand that this proves nothing to those who do not believe the Bible as truth and proof.

Spirits can think!!! How do you think you have been deceived into such a dangerous belief, Scripture tells use Lucifer may have been the most intelligent being ever created. By comparison Adam in the garden was exceptionally intelligent, yet he fell for a slight twist in God's word by Lucifer.
This is not a battle I can win on my own, I need empowerment from the extreme intelligence found in "The Creator" God , who designed what we know and those things we have yet to learn.

Evidence that some Christians dodge answering questions, but not proof of stupidity. Proof of stupidity would be the assertion that Einstein was a believer in a personal God, or that Darwin recanted on his deathbed, or that evolution is only a theory. Stuff like that.

what evidence is there that spirits are real in the first place? the only spirits i know of are in a drinks cabinet and lessen the thought process somewhat........
the subject matter of the question open to interpretation and i think any religious group would have considerable difficulty in answering it.
all you prove here is that you have been talking to some very strong christian believers (who probably are stupid), and that you are actually quite ignorant yourself if you consider a whole religious group stupid.
