I believe that, since sin has entered the world, the world is a cursed place. Satan is the prince of this world right now, until Jesus returns. That means evil exists in this world. Likewise, God also exists and has all power, too. We are in the midst of a war between good and the principalities of darkness. Christians are to be the light in this world, reflecting the love of God.

The world (itself)is not evil. It is the people in this world, that make it appear so.

Who is to blame? It is not the infamous "they" or a dark
uncontrollable force. We only need look in the mirror to see the problem.

What can we do? Everyone can do one unselfish act per day, without expecting anything in return. Multiply that by 6 billion and that is a lot of good.

Will this happen? It is entirely up to you and me.

I'm not certin I would say the world is evil. However, there are evil people in this world who are obciously evil. .If there is such a thing as the world being evil then it would be due to people making it that way.

Worldlike desires cause people to become evil, so mostly, YES, the world is evil because people form the world's desires.

Yes! -- Prevalent dictionary definitions of evil: morally reprehensible, arising from ... bad character or conduct, causing harm, marked by misfortune -- Given those definitions, "evil" outweighs "good" in nature and society and in the end usually wins.

Of course, few things in nature even remotely are concerned by such considerations (ethics being a function of social instincts and thought in social forms of life). Meanwhile we humans should be, but often are too confused, too misled, or too busy finding ethical issues inconvenient to our goals.

(good question btw)

Albert Einstein said it right when he said, "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it. "

the world itself can not be evil, but the people in it can. Many are not evil, but many are.
