* What ever problems America has--she is our country and we don't need to put down our country to another country...am I right?
I guess I'm old fashioned but my philosophy is
"America.....love it or leave it"
and that is why I won't buy Dixie Chicks anything.

I do. I used to listen to them all the time.Forget that. George Bush tries, and yeah, he makes mistakes,But wouldn't we all? They'll never make it big again. By the way,"free speech answer" they were in France. That right only applies in the US.

If you admit that America has problems, why are you content to just sit around and let thim persist? Don't you want to fix these problems? I've never been a Dixie Chicks fan, but I have a lot of respect for them for speaking out for what the believe, even though they knew it would ostracize them from their fans. To me it seems that a lot of Americans slept through history class, and completely missed the point of why this country was founded. Our forefathers were tired of not having a voice in their government, so wanted to provide that for all citizens. They deliberately made the first amendment the freedom of speech to give everybody this right. I'm not trying to offend anyone here, but I think it is ignorant to call people who disagree with the government unamerican. If anything, it makes them more american, because by speaking out about what they feel is injustice, they are paying homage to our founding fathers.

And, I don't think the Dixie Chicks are asking for forgiveness. The last time I checked, they are standing by what they said earlier.

***The fact that they were in France does not take away their American rights.

Are you seriously telling me you are one of those people who think that the Dixie Chicks don't have a right to dislike Bush? All she ever said was that she was embarrassed that the president came from her home state. That makes you that mad? You need to look in side yourself and really get a life. Meanwhile I going to have a great time at the Dixie Chicks concert.

Whatever happened to free speech? I commend the Dixie Chicks for having the courage to speak out against the current administration.

I completely dig it, I dig the concept that they nevertheless stand at the back of their beliefs. i love that it really is somewhat of reminder of ways they can't stand president Bush and all the grievance that they received for ....what's that observed as?....oh yeah, free SPEECH. I say rock on.
