Cats are very independent creatures. They are easy to take care of, don't make alot of noise, if you want to go away for a weekend you don't need a babysitter for them, they can be warm and affectionate, and they lower your blood pressure when you stroke their fur.

Because cat's are way more independent and smarter than dogs. The dog is shallow animal, beat it with a stick and it comes right back to you if you call it. A cat however would claw the living daylights out of you before you swung the stick.

To answer your ridiculous question seriously, which is probably a mistake. It's really very simple. Cat people have had good experiences with cats. I like dogs and cats. In childhood I had both and enjoyed them both. Now I have a child with allergies to dogs, but not cats so we have several cats. I would love to have a dog too, but meanwhile I'll just enjoy my cats, thankyouverymuch.

I love cats. Sure they are more independant than dogs, but they give just as much love. If you think they suck, it is probably because you have had one before and didn't treat it right so it hated you.

Cats have personality and don't suck up to anyone, yet can be funny, charming and loving. You have to respect that.

I LOVE my "boys" Jr. & Jarrett b/c they have wonderful personalities, they cuddle, they climb, they talk to me.
I have just gone thru a nasty divorce and they know when I need comfort. They are very protective of me.... and the best part?
They're potty-trained! No kitty box to clean- let me see a dog do that!

No they don't!!! There're calming and cute and cuddley.Plus you don't have to take as much care of them as dogs.Also you may think cats don't care about their owners but thay do!!!! My cat wil always sence that I am in danger and come to the rescue.

For meh personaly ... I lik catz bcuz ... Weo ... We can understand dem! We can teo when they r happy or when they r sad! When mai catz iz happy ... It purz ... N when mai cat iz sad ... Itz findz a nice n quiet place 2 lay ... But diffrent people hav diffrent tastez ... Yooh mite not lik catz but yooh mite lik dogz ... But 2 meh ... I lik dem all.
