I plan on getting a job...but if I can't, I will go on welfare so I earn a living off of that.

By the way, I wouldn't have graduated anyway. I am just not capable of passing anything.

I dropped out because of stupid *** teachers that thought I was capable of learning, in which they didn't know **** about me. Teachers should have just left me alone to rot, since I am like I said not capable of anything.

NO, you didn't do the right thing by dropping out. nothing makes a failure but a try, if something is worth having it is worth investing in. You should go back to school, the mind is a terrible thing to waste. You need an education to get ahead in life and to get the type of job that you want and like. You can't go on welfare to earn a living. I don't know where you got that idea from but give it back. It's crazy and ridicules, where's your pride and self-esteem. Is that the life you really want, No control over anything concerning you? Is that what you want for your family / children to quite, just give up without ever knowing or finding your purpose in life, what you a capable of doing, stop underestimating yourself, you had to learn how to use the net so you must be able to learn, and if you don't know or understand something don't be afraid to ask for clarity. Ask questions, you asked this one didn't you. Go back to school, your local college or that welfare office and see about getting your GED or HSED. Get back in the game and get that education that you deserve and desire. ;)

Dropping out was the absolutly wrong thing to do. You could have gotten all kinds of tutoring through school and if you were having troubles maybe you have a learning disability or ADHD. If so you could have gone to the guidance counsalor for help and he/she would of had you tested for these problems and would have helped you with your school career. Check into getting a GED or the military, they will help you get you GED. Then you will be doing something with your life and not just sitting around rotting collecting welfare.

I don't think you should have dropped out. But I am a firm believer in school and the power it gives you. Yes classes are tedious and the teachers can be hard, but in the end it gives you the power to get a job and decide what you can do with your life. Its not too late to slowly get your GED. That gives you a huge boon in favor of getting a good job and not having to go through welfare. Remember that welfare is a temporary thing and is going through changes to reflect that in certain states.

Your task is to swim up a river for a distance of twelve miles. You do not have to complete the whole distance at once, as a matter of fact, you can take up to twelve years, but you have to swim at least one mile at a time. After you complete miles 1 through 6, you collect $100.00 for each. For miles 6 through 9, you collect $200.00 for each mile. For Miles 10 and 11, you collect $250.00 for each mile completed. Complete mile 12 and you receive a payment of $10,000. In addition, if you complete mile 12 successfully, you will receive $10,000 each year for the rest of your life. You can quit the swim anytime you want.

Would it be best to quit the swim before finishing all 12 miles? Its your decision, but as you can see, if you quit before finishing the 12 miles, your financial reward is small. If you complete the entire course, you are much better off financially for the rest of your life.

Even though you "failed alot", you shouldn't give up on school. All that a failing grade means is that you need some help grasping the study material and maybe some assistance with your study habits. A little work on these issues now would insure you a better chance of being a financial success in the future.

Good Luck with the Swim!

There are other alternatives to dropping out. You can get your GED, you can try adult school while working, you can try continuation school or home school. Dropping out is just giving up. You will always wonder what you could have done with your life if you had stayed in school. Welfare should not be used by people who have given up, it is there to help people get back on their feet after having rough times financially. You should not have a goal of going on welfare because you feel you cannot finish school. I suggest seeing your school counselor asking what your options are and working out a plan. You are going to have to work very hard and if you work hard now in school you will do better in life. Life is much harder than school, which prepares you for what is ahead, you shouldn't skip to something harder thinking it will be easier because it wont. You will hit a brick wall so fast and be scrambling to get back to school. Trust me. Also, our tax dollars should not go towards people who drop out of school with the back up plan of going on welfare. Think of the people who really need it who have children who need food, and a roof over there head. When you have all the opportunity in the world in front of you and you are giving up. Please don't give up. Do everything in your power to stay strong and seek help. You can always go back, always. God Bless.

Maybe you just need a break. You at least need to get your HS diploma. Most jobs now a days require more. I don't know where you live but if the fed min wag is 5.15 then you will only make $10k/yr. you can't do crap with that. Work towards a GED at least and maybe you will get your motivation back to go further. Take your time and don't give up.

I suspect that you are smart enough, just not motivated enough.

You absolutely did the wrong thing. Go get your GED -- and do whatever it takes to support yourself.

Think about your question: You want my tax dollars to support you (e.g. welfare) because A) you cannot find a job and B) you cannot pass anything.

Suck it up and get to work! This is your first warning.

Yes, if you were failing, you did the right thing by dropping out. Now I don't have to waste my tax dollars on someone who doesn't deserve them. Welfare?! are you kidding? You had your chance to make something of yourself and you lost it. Get a job, or get out of this country.
