Christianity is not prudish about sex.

Unless you count "prudishness" as the requirement that sex only take place between a husband and wife. Who are married to each other. And no pornography and/or animals are involved.

If you can't have great sex with your spouse within these confines, it's not Christianity that's to blame. It's you.

Peace and love in Jesus.

Good question. I think people would be more into Christianity if they knew what Christianity is really teaching about sexuality. You're right. I think a lot people outside the faith think that Christians are prudish. But if people could see that God's guidelines for our lives, particularly our sexual lives, actually provide for us the best, happiest, most fullfilling lives possible, I think they would see it differently. God protects us from ruining our lives by giving us his guidance. Sex is a powerful force, that like fire, can, in it's place, keep us warm and alive, but out of control, can burn down the forest. God desires sex to be unique, sensational, explosive, bonding, the deepest expression of committed love. Outside of that committment, it hurts people, causes distrust, uses people, rips souls. I think Christianity offers the best possible sex, which one expression of deeply committed love, which is what everyone is really looking for.

read Song of Solomon. It's pretty explicit. sex is something that God designed to be a wonderful experience between a husband and his wife, and Song of Solomon celebrates that union.
Please, do us all a favor. If you're going to quote the Bible, quote it correctly. Your arguements will NOT hold up if you don't bring your side accurately, especially if you want to be taken seriously, because I just can't with this type of quote. Your misrepresentation of biblical quotes is insulting.

Proverbs 26:4
Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.

You might end up bring more people TO Jesus with that attitude against Him.

Sex is not only allowed but encouraged by married couples(men and woman). God created it and its wonderful within the confines of marriage. People wouldn't care about the sexual limitations in the bible, they will always find some reason to reject God and His word.

You are so bad! Love it!

edit: of course, all the throbbing and pinkness must be within the confines of a straight marriage! =0)

You clearly haven't read the Song of Songs.

Your mocking testifies against you. You have no idea what it means to have eternal life: to intimately know and love God.

No, it is more about how you live than just sex. That just gives people another reason to hate Jesus.

I guess it depends on if people are more interested in STDs than eternal life.

That would help, yes. But it wouldn't be enough for me.
