I teach swimming, and I find it helpful when a parent tells me that their child has a problem, such as asthma. Then I know not to try to push the child as hard when they are tired, ect. That might be an option for you. Good luck.

Just make sure to make your daughters swim coach very aware that she has this issue so she won't be pushed past her limits. Plus the swimming will help strengthen her lungs. :)
