PAUL the Apostle had wealth, so much that one of the Ruler's back then, was hoping to get some of it. JESUS was wealthy as a Baby. (the Wise Men brought HIM alot of money and wealthy thing's). JESUS had so much money for HIS Ministry, HE had to appoint a Treasurer over it (Judas).. We start out as Baby Christian's, and hopefully we will Learn and Grow. If a kid trie's to do Adult thing's, he could get hurt. Growing up in the Spirit, just about like growing up in the EARTH. You have to learn, try thing's till you get them to work for you, and get big enough to do some other thing's!!!!
p.s. Did you ever wonder why JESUS put Judas over the Money???? JESUS was trying to MAKE a MAN out of JUDAS.!!!! It didn't work, but that's just like JESUS, JESUS has a lot of MERCY!!!!! HE LOVE's us and is trying to HELP US GROW!!!! Ditto!!!!!! Hope this helps!!!!

The Word of Faith movement basically believes that by faith you can achieve anything right? I can kind of understand why some churches are against it. They don't think it is the proper way to evangelize to someone. For example, imagine that before 9/11 you say to someone "Follow Jesus and you'll have a wonderful life." So they follow Jesus but then 9/11 comes along and they lose a loved one. What's gonna happen? They're probably gonna give up and lose faith. However, if you are interested in evangelizing i think you should try the method on this website.

Because its not so much based in the Bible as it is like witchcraft and New Age things which has a lot to do with verbal confession. For the most part these folks don't really preach the true gospel. I think, the name it and claim it is a bunch of nonsense.
There is nothing wrong with positive confession because the power of life and death is in the tongue etc. but these guys take it too far and miss the mark entirely.

And also keep in mind that just because someone uses the Bible doesn't make them good. Satan tempted Jesus in Matt and Luke 4 and used what?

good question..When you really get down and study their teaching it is biblical. Now I know that some exagerate in money, but God doesn't plan on his children being poor and sick, so there is middle ground there. I like Kenneth Hagin and have studied his teaching a lot, but am not familiar with all of the faith teachers..
I was sick a couple of Saturdays ago, and I called for another pastor and his wife and they annointed me with oil and prayed the prayer of faith over me and guess what. I jumped out of bed and we had a good time praying and thanking Jesus for my healing..
It just works.. Some people struggle with this, but it is commonplace for folks to be healed here..

I have heard of it, but never looked into it. Hank Hanagraph, "The Bible Answer Man" is against it and has a book or paper or something that talks about it. Creflo Dollar is a big "Send me money and you will be blessed" preacher so it could have something to do with that. The Bible does not say we will be blessed financialy, just blessed.

Did the disciples live in prosperity after they chose to follow Jesus? They died homeless and destitute, relying on believers to care for their needs.
Does this mean that people who come to Christ, yet don't become wealthy are not really saved?
This is a dangerous doctrine, that almost turns God into a genie in a bottle, instead of Supreme Sovereign ruler of the universe.

Oh yes its very dangerous. I have a good friend who in the height of it stopped taking her HIV meds. Not good. Finally she saw the light and came to bible study. They're teaching a false doctrine. God's promise isn't that we will be healthy and wealthy but made whole and free from sin. He came for the sick who needed a DR. Not just a physical healing but a spiritual healing as well.

God's word tells us,

You know them by their fruit.

Go check it out for yourself, and ask the people that have been healed of cancer, and lifted out of their wheelchairs, walking for the first time in years!

The kids that couldn't see or hear and now they do, are not concerned by any wind of doctrine.

All they know is, they were blind, and now they see, and they believe!

Don't you get it? Everyone chooses their own poison, which is fine. But peddling your own poison as the elixir of life is pointless and dumb.

God bless you.
