hey i was in that position once...
except i was the girl two years over!
he is goin to 8 and me to 10th
yeah i admit that it was hard to tell my friends
but when i told them,
since they were my friends, they didn't care
they said as long as he made me happy and
as long as he was mature and respectful!
well we ended up goin out
the thing that caught my attention,
was that he was very mature for his age
he was romantic
and he had a lot of confidence,
so it seemed as if he knew what he was doing
just be nice
be friendly and get her attention
make it obvious that ur mature and
that you can handel someone like her
just be yourself and be truthful to her
that should catch her attention

You could try telling her. Keep in mind though that because she is two years older, she's more likely to think it's cute than to actually take you seriously. (Like her kid brother's friend having a crush on her, or something like that) Girls at that age are very influenced by what their friends think, so if her friends think you're an immature little kid with a crush (no offense) chances are she'll take their advice before considering you as a possible boyfriend. Your best bet is to tell her without her friends around. Maybe she likes you too, but doesn't want to say anything because she's embarassed about liking someone younger.
I know plenty of girls who have dated younger guys. One of my guy friends was a sophomore and he dated a senior girl for a long time. Remember that age is only a number, not a characteristic.

Well, first of all, why dont you try giving her some hints as to your intentions? Try asking her out, if you know her for a while, you must have some remote idea of what she might like or dislike. And really, if she likes you back, you being younger won´t matter, it´s not like you´re going to get married the next day, in my opinion just be honest, tell her you like her, just the way she is, and that you would be honored if she would choose you to be her boyfriend, the time wouldn´t matter, just being with her would matter!

wow..bringin back the memories...in my case, I had my best friend tell her that I liked her and that sort of worked cuz we ended up talking a lot, but not really cuz we didn't end up together. So my advice to you is to just go for it either face to face or write her a quick note (do kids still do that?).

Wait a couple years. Girls that age can be pretty shallow, especially with things like age and restraining orders.

She will sadly never go out with you, well you can try, but she'll be a senior when your a sophmore, usually seniors don't date younger(if your a girl) but who knows you can try.
