Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes)?

Question

1.) Open an empty notepad file 2.) Type "Bush hid the facts" (without the quotes) 3.) Save it as whatever you want. 4.) Close it, and re-open it

U will get some box type charecters.......could u find out whts the reason for that?

There have been quite a few discussions about this elsewhere on the web.

My favourite explanation is that some MS coder must have added this weird notepad behaviour as an easter egg.

This is a known issue, with this combination of word sizes. Same thing would happen if you typed
park new car there

What the heck? Why does it work . . . . Damn good question . . I tried typing 'my *** don't quit' & saved it & it came up normal . . but when I typed Bush hid the facts it didn't. W E I R D

When you do the 'save as' you have to choose something besides ANSI as the encoding option. It's down at the bottom where you name the file and chose what type of file to save it as.

Mine came up as Chinese characters. It didn't change to the characters when I added a period (it read as written), but if I write another sentence without a period, it doesn't change, so it can't be the period alone. Go figure.
