For almost a month now just about everytime I eat I feel dizzy, lightheaded, and feel like passing out. I get headaches and end up sleeping anywhere from half and hour up to 5 or 6 hours. I have been checked for diabetes and do not have it. My fasting blood sugar level has been 80 and as low as 79 (being tested). Once after eating a turkey sandwich my level was 104 and I had the above symptoms. The highest I've seen my blood sugar has been 127 right after eating and I felt like I was going to pass out. I am overweight, it's a genetic condition. Also, diabetes runs in my family. I've had a glucose resistence test recently and my level was 79. I'm almost 35 yrs old and I am 5'5".. I'm just wondering why I feel like this only after I eat. I have noticed in the past few days that I feel a little light headed in between meals. Any suggestions would be helpfull. I am going to see my dr this afternoon.

Some people get hypotension after eating, particularly a large meal. I'm guessing this is because blood is diverted to the GI tract and the brain suffers a temporary reduction in oxygen. Try eating smaller meals and perhaps resting afterward.

I get this first thing in morning after breakfast. Will be weak in the legs and feel like a wave passing out. After 3-4 hours, all is ok. Doesn't happen after lunch or dinner. Drinking ginger tea cut out the feeling of passing out but still get weak and feel awful. No idea.... Have tried carb breakfast , tiny breakfast. No breakfast works best but then I still suffer after lunch .

Good luck at the Dr's today,I have ibs and my doctor has done nothing but change my medications one after another,to the point of my pharmist wondering what the man is doing.Hope your Doctor is better than mine,if you can't get help I've found out the ER doctors are better to go to,and they do follow up with your condition.I don't know where you live but are you having heat stroke.Have them check for a blockage in your bowels and a MRI for your headaches, migrains can make you sick.

As per your description, your blood pressure seems to be low. Take quarter tea-spoon cinnamon powder for you to stop passing out after you eat. Cinnamon will help you. Eat 3 to 4 guava fruits and 2 to 3 banana daily. Your immune system is low. You must go for COQ Enzyme and extract of grape seeds if available there. Taking one tablet Spirulina/500 g a day continuously for few years will enhance your immune system. Drink juice made out of one bitter gourd, one cucumber and one tomato daily on empty stomach to boost your pancreas. Good luck and best of health.

sounds like you aren't getting enough nourishment. It has happened to me many times just because I forgot to eat, either I was busy or i didn't think about it. I have passed out a few times and each time landed me in the hospital for an overnight stay. I am not diabetic, and the doctors just contributed it to me not eating enough.

I wonder if you're eating too many carbs. That would explain the tiredness shortly after eating.
Make sure you tell the doctor everything you wrote in your question.
Good luck to you.

Try eating a mini candy bar after eating. I have the same problem. Might be gallbladder. Something to do with fats in meat.

have your blood sugar checked, my wife has low blood sugar, and a friend has high blood sugar, both are very dangerous. you may have to go through a 5 hour blood test, no eating for 5 hours and a blood check every hour. my wife did this and found out she needs to eat every 2 hours to keep her sugar level good
