If you go to a church that is just going through the motions, or has hurt you, would you be willing to look for one that is alive, has something to offer all ages and the people are nice?

Two years ago I was in a church where there was a lot of bitter bickering. The pastor became a jerk and I never felt the Spirit move through.

We changed church and we feel alive! It is definitely worth the search!

When we got there, they did not have a lot of children, so children and youth programs were limited. We now have 5 different youth/kids ministries (that I can think of off the top of my head). Our kids are great at missions and are VERY knowledgable in the Word of God.

I can feel the power of God in the church that i attend. God led me to that church 2 years ago. I prayed and ask Him where to send me. I knew when i went to that church, that was the right place to be. The preacher preaches the true word of God, from the KJ V Bible. The people are so loving and friendly. We have many things for the young people. I thank God for my church.

Been there done that, chose the one of freedom and be blessed that we have
the choice to choose.
I have tried many and finaly ended up pentacostal, they practice freedom of theholy spirit and welcoming love at my church so I am lucky.
If you ask God to lead you there he will. He sent me an angel to lead me to mine.
Thank you Jesus.
Another thing, work on changing the one you have to become more likeable instead of just abandoning sometimes the pastors work is very hard when you rely upon just him.
Let all gifts come freely to love and serve the Lord, work to feed the poor an dyou can have church in your own home too.

Of course, to me you are not too intelligent if you go to the same church and just accept everything without asking questions. Some of the nicest, most religious people I know are non-Christians. Some of the most evil people I have ever met are in church every Sunday.

Why not? It might be necessary to do some resolution with the church you are leaving, if possible, in a way that preserves relationships; but there is no need to stay tied to a group that is not building you up spiritually, out of feelings of guilt or obligation.

Ask God to guide you.

We recently moved and we are still looking for one. We're not looking for that "perfect" church but one that goes through its programs. We're looking for a church that moves when the Spirit moves. Letting God lead the church.
For some reason, these are hard to find. But I know there are a few out there.

of course. If I was't happy where I was.
We did that once. I grew up in church A.
When I got married my husband and I wanted a church that we both liked. Not one that I attended or one that he attended but one that was"ours"
So we went to church B.
We stayed with chuch B for a long time unitl we moved.
Then we went to chuch C but didn't really like it.
So we moved back and re-attended church B.
We found we didn't like it as much.
The people were very clicky. They were civil but that was all.
So we went to church D for a while. And didn't like it. So then someone suggested to try chuch E we did and we loved it
PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE AND SOCAILBE.
YOU WON'T GET MUCH FROM GOD'S WORD UNTIL YOU ARE AROUND OTHER BELIVERS.

Yes, but I would first make sure that I knew that it was God's holy will that I leave not my own due to the treatment I received. God just might be using me to bring the life BACK into that lifeless church.

If I were in that situation, I would DEFINITELY be willing to look elsewhere. What have you got to lose? It's YOUR decision, and YOU are the one that needs to feel welcomed and comfortable attending.
Personally, I pray directly to God. No need for a structure or building. It just makes me feel farther away from God.

Of course, you should always look out for yourself and sorround yourself with positive people that will help you one way or another or will support you- If u dont feel comfortable in your church anymore then you have the right to remove yourself from there and find one that will welcome you, accept you, support you, help you and make you feel good to be part of them.
