Fill your pot with water and your favorite beer. Allow the brats to come to a boil. They will turn a gray like color. Let them simmer for about 5 minute. Meanwhile heat up grill. Pull brats from water carefully not piercing the skin. Cook on the grill just enough to get those yummy black markings. Place in bun of choice add kraut and mustard!

A great grilling recipe for classic German-Style brats and sauerkraut! Turn this condiment into an excellent side dish for our plump and juicy bratwurst.

You can use brat or kielbasa. Grill or boil your meat put your favorite fixings on a bun and just add as much saurkraut as you want. I found some recipes that you may like hope this helps.
You can also cook sliced kielbasa and saurkraut in a skillet and saute it with butter, onion, garlic and cayenne until kielbasa is done. Taste great but a little fattining

I'd put them in a big skillet together.....let them cook...you want the kraut to loose alot of it's moisture..and kinda brown a little for the best flavoring..

you can either leave the brats whole...or slice them up

can even fix seperate for those non kraut lovers.

The best way is to take and drain your kraut. In a skillet brown off your brats, then add your kraut. Turn down heat and simmer for about 30 mins.

Put in a pot and cover with a combination of your favorite beer and water and cook until it comes to a boil and then place on a grill to complete the cooking. Don't puncture the skin while cooking or they will become dry. Place In a hoagie roll and add mustard and then pile on the sauerkraut - nothing better than this.

I like to put them together in a saucepan and let them simmer together. Another good way is to grill the bratwurst and heat the kraut in a pan or in the microwave.
