If you are using internet explorer, click on tools and then internet options. Then click delete files under the General tab. A box will present itself with a question regarding deleting off line ie files. If this is what you really want, click the box then OK.

Using the cleanup utility on the C drive will also reduce clutter. You say the computer seems slow. if you are running Wxp you might try Easycleaner which is a free program made by ToniArts.

Another thing you might check on is a spyware removal program such as Adaware which also is free.

Good Luck

Go to 'my computer' and right click on either drive. Go to 'properties' and do a 'disk cleanup'. Then up above, go to 'Tools' and do a 'Defragmentation'. When done, do 'Error-checking' 'check now' but unless you have plenty of time do not tick the two boxes . When done, do the same with the other drive..............

The C drive.

The D drive, is either your CD drive or is the drive that is for your recovery portion of your computer, and if it is, make sure to create your recovery disk, if your computer didn't come with any operating system CD.

the C drive, you can go to system checkup and defragment it, or if your computer is really messed up, you can wipe it out and use the disks that came with it to restore the factory settings. my dad works with computers and that's what he said is the best thing to do.

Until you define what you mean by clean and what it is you are going to clean from it, you don't know enough to clean it.
